Its operational principle involves detecting changes in gas pressure and temperature inside pipelines or equipment to assess the risk of an explosion or fire. The flame-free venting device consists of two parts—an explosion-proof panel and a fire extinguishing module. The explosion-proof panel responds rapidly to the surge in deflagration pressure, opening immediately to reduce pressure. As the expanding fireball passes through the open explosion-proof panel, it is intercepted by the fire extinguishing module. The precision stainless steel mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing the flame and preventing its propagation, thereby avoiding secondary or multiple explosions. The fire extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces the temperature of hot gases, and captures both burning and unburned dust particles passing through the open explosion-proof panel.
Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are significantly reduced. As flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor, heat exchange occurs between the arrestor and the flames, rapidly cooling the high-temperature flames, venting pressure and smoke, while also diminishing pressure waves or noise from the production equipment.

Widely used in industries such as grain processing, metallurgy, chemicals, power, light industry, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, machining, and solid waste treatment. Applicable equipment includes cyclone separators, bag dust collectors, dust collectors, cartridge filters, pneumatic conveying systems, rod or ball mills, bucket elevators, dryers and ovens, roller grinding, buildings, and more.
With increasingly stringent environmental inspections, safety has become a major concern. In the past, explosion venting panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, installing such devices indoors is not permitted by safety regulations, as it endangers nearby personnel and equipment. The pressure waves and flames from an explosion could trigger secondary or multiple explosions, posing significant risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion-proof panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flame-free explosion venting + isolation technology (a more economical solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.
